FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Yes, Physical Therapy is a safe and effective form of physical medicine for every person of all ages. An initial consultation is valuable in gaining an accurate assessment of your current physical health without any risks involved. Based on your evaluation, a Physical Therapist can then offer you valuable insight, appropriate treatment recommendations, and lifestyle considerations that are specific to your needs and goals.

To get started, please schedule an appointment by e-mailing sylvielept@yahoo.com. Prior to the physical examination, you will be asked to complete a medical history questionnaire listing any of your past and present medical conditions, current symptoms, use of medications, and general lifestyle habits. This helps to provide a general understanding of where you are on your journey of healing and well-being.

After completing a medical history questionnaire, and discussing your symptoms and goals, you will receive a physical examination that includes postural and structural assessment, flexibility and strength testing, and functional movement analysis. Please wear loose and comfortable clothing that will allow you to easily move without restriction.

The length and frequency of your therapy will be determined between you and your therapist depending on your condition, stage of healing, and goals. Therapy is typically recommended at least 1-3 times per week for an average period of 4-12 weeks, however this can vary based on the individual.

Please see current location services for pricing.

The initial examination is 90-minutes in length, and follow-up treatment can vary between 45 to 75 minutes, depending on treatment plan and progress.

Loose, comfortable clothing. If suffering from an injury, it is best that the area is exposed in order to optimize visual observation and the effects of any hands-on manual treatment.
