Meet Sylvie Le

Sylvie Le, Physical Therapist and Yoga Teacher, is passionate in providing clinical and therapeutic care for people suffering from musculoskeletal and neurological injuries, chronic pain, stress-related illnesses, and those interested in improving their health and wellness. As a Physical Therapist, Sylvie recognized the significant trauma that physical injuries were having on the mentality of her patients, repeatedly seeing patterns of depression and anxiety that would either slow or inhibit the healing process.

It became evident that in order to enhance recovery and promote long term well-being, individuals required better understanding of their own bodies and minds. Based on Sylvie’s transformative experience with yoga and meditation, she found her passion in wanting to share the healing effects of these ancient practices with her patients as a complementary system of rehabilitative health.

This led her to India, the birthplace of yoga, where she studied to become a Certified Yoga Teacher. She later traveled to Thailand, where she attained her certification as a Thai Yoga Massage practitioner. From there she traveled and lived in 8 different countries where she practiced as a Yoga Teacher. Heal Body & Being was created with the goal of serving others to realize whole body health and recover from injury, disease and stress-related illnesses through the combination of physical therapy, yoga, and meditation.

Sylvie strongly believes it is every individual’s right to be empowered with the knowledge, awareness, and wisdom of their own mind-body connection for optimal well-being. Sylvie is currently living in Rhode Island where she provides physical therapy, bodywork services, teaches yoga and meditation, and leads educational workshops. She is continuing to study alternative integrative therapies and is completing her studies in Medical Therapeutic Yoga through the Professional Yoga Therapy Institute in North Carolina, United States.

About Heal Body & Being

Heal Body & Being is inspired by my motivation to help people achieve greater health and balance in their life through physical therapy, yoga and meditation. Physical therapy is an evidence-based practice that is exceptional in treating, healing and preventing injury or disease. Despite it’s effectiveness in addressing bodily impairments and functional limitations, this conventional form of therapy is minimally equipped with the necessary tools to allow individuals to work through any mental or emotional problems, which can manifest as chronic or recurrent physical ailments and illness. The practice of yoga and meditation are greatly effective in helping people to become more aware and mindful of themselves through self-study and observation.

These practices enable individuals to create a self-sustained path to discover, explore and properly address the many different layers of their being in order to alleviate any mental or emotional obstacles. If the physical, emotional and spiritual health of an individual are unaddressed collectively as a whole, a person’s potential to completely heal and restore from past, present and future injuries,

wounds and traumas can be limited. To become fully alive and at peace, one needs to rest in their own physical, mental and spiritual existence without struggle or suffering. Heal Body & Being is an open space and service dedicated to empowering individuals to understand, heal and take care of their body, mind and spirit through health education, yoga, and meditation.
